WVBA International Team Car Wash on Saturday

2004 16-Red team at their car wash to raise funds for Hawai'i trip

SEATTLE, WA - 6/22/06
WVBA International Team
While the 7 Academy teams prepare for their final tournament at either Volleyball Festival in Reno or Junior Olympics in Atlanta, a group of 10 players from three different WVBA teams are raising money for a trip to Brazil.

In early August our first international team will travel to Belo Horizonte, Brazil to compete in a tournament featuring some of the strongest teams in Brazil as well as the Junior National Team of Portugal.

In an effort to help offset costs for this trip the team will be working to raise money through a variety of fundraisers. This Saturday is the first.

WVBA International will be washing cars at the Dairy Queen in Kirkland in the Bridle Trails shopping center at 6811 - 132nd Ave NE.

They will begin at 9am and wash as many cars as possible until 3pm. Please come out and show your support for these players on Saturday.

I'm sure everyone has a car or two that can use a good washing now that summer is here. Bring your neighbors and frieds too!

JOs and VB Festival
WVBA is sending four teams to Atlanta, GA and three teams to Reno, NV to finish their seasons.

WVBA 18-Black, 17-Black, 16-Black and 15-Black will be traveling to Atlanta to compete in the USA Volleyball® Junior Olympic Championship tournament at the end of June.

The tournament spans four days and features teams who have qualified from across the country. WVBA 15-Black will be the first team to compete in Atlanta beginning 6/29 through 7/2.

16-Black will follow with competition dates of 7/1-7/4 and 17-Black and 18-Black will show up last with their competition running 7/2 through 7/5. For more information on this tournament, please visit the JOs website.

WVBA 18-Red, 16-Red and 14-Black will be heading to Reno to compete in the Volleyball Festival.

The Festival is the largest girls sporting event in the world featuring nearly 10,000 female volleyball players from across the USA, Canada and usually a smattering of teams from Puerto Rico.

This tournament begins 6/25 and ends on 6/30. For more information, visit the Volleyball Festival website.
