All Academy Teams to Play this Weekend

WVBA 18-Black's Betsy Devich in Action at MLK Invitational

SEATTLE, WA - Feb. 16, 2006
All Academy teams will be in action this holiday weekend.

WVBA 18-Black, WVBA 18-Red, and WVBA 17-Black will be competing at the Las Vegas Invitational. This tournament is perhaps the strongest tournament prior to Junior Olympics in July. Limited to the U18 and U17 age groups, the tournament draws 420 teams from across the country to get an early season check on where teams measure up nationally.

We will attempt to update the website with results as the teams finish their play on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

WVBA 16-Black, WVBA 16-Red, WVBA 15-Black, WVBA 14-Black, and WVBA 13-Black will all be competing locally in the Adidas® President's Day Tournament.

WVBA 16-Black, 16-Red and 15-Black will all bein play on Saturday in the PM Wave at Juanita High School. Meanwhile 14-Black will also play in the afternoon wave at Kent-Meridian High School on Saturday. WVBA 13-Black will be the sole morning wave team on Saturday as they begin their play Kentwood High School at 8:00am. They are listed on the tournament website as WVBA 14-Red.
