SEATTLE, WA--Apr 15, 2009

They scratched their way through Capital 16 Ice in the second match to face off against the WVBA 15s in the winner's bracket final. They dispensed of the younger Academy team in two sets to set up the rematch against Capital Ice for a bid to JOs.

The Academy 16-Black team looked very determined in the final as they dominated Capital 2-0. They will still seek to improve their bid to an open one in Minneapolis this weekend.

WVBA Mizuno 18 finished finished 2nd at Prime Time leaving them with one more opportunity to win a bid at the Northern Lights JO Qualifier in Minneapolis this coming weekend. The Academy 18s dropped a tough match to Puget Sound 18 Gold in the second round and then returned to beat them in the loser's bracket final. This placed WVBA against KJ in the final for the bid and KJ prevailed.

WVBA Mizuno 14 just missed a U15 Club National bid to JOs by falling to Puget Sound 15 Gold in Prime Time final.
