WVBA Mizuno 16s celebrate 1st Place Finish at Power League #1

SEATTLE, WA--Feb. 3, 2009
2 More Gold Finishes
WVBA Mizuno 16 defeated Capital 16 Ice to finish 1st overall in the Puget Sound Power League on Sunday. The Academy 16s went undefeated on the day with wins over KJ 16 Baden and Island Thunder 16 Under Armour earlier in the day.

WVBA Mizuno 14 also finished in the Gold division of the U15 Power League.

WVBA Mizuno 14-Gold finished 5th in Silver with a win over Above the Net 14 in their final match of the day on Sunday the 18th. Melina Seabrook played well all around on the second day while Jade Finau led the team with her setting. Katherine Towslee put up a big block in the middle.

WVBA Mizuno 16-Gold finished with a win on Sunday to take Flight 5 overall. They will be moving into Flight 4 for the next round of Power League this weekend.

WVBA Mizuno 15 finished 5th in the Silver division of the U16 Power League with a win over Bonney Lake 16-2.

Power League Saturday
WVBA Mizuno 16 will be defending their #1 overall position in the U16 Power League on Saturday. They will have a late start due to a last minute gym cancellation. Mizuno 16 will be playing at Edmonds Community College beginning at noon.

WVBA Mizuno 16-Gold will be playing in Flight 4 at Highline Community College in Burien starting at 8:00AM Saturday.

WVBA Mizuno 15 will be playing at the former Woodway High School in Edmonds starting at 8:00AM Saturday.

WVBA Mizuno 14 will be playing at Washington High School in Tacoma starting at 8:00AM Saturday

Power League Sunday
WVBA Mizuno 18 will also be defending their #1 overall position in the U18 Power League on Sunday. They will be playing at Fife High School starting at 8:00AM on Sunday.

WVBA Mizuno 17 will join Mizuno 18 in the Gold Pool A Sunday morning at Fife High School starting at 8:00AM.

WVBA Mizuno 14-Gold will be playing at Franklin-Pierce High School starting at 8:00AM on Sunday.
