Mizuno 15s Earn 4th WVBA Bid to JOs


WVBA Mizuno 15 will be headed to Dallas to play at Junior Olympics

SEATTLE, WA - May 3, 2008
WVBA Sends 4 Teams to JOs
WVBA will be sending four teams again to the USA Volleyball Junior Olympics in Dallas in 2008. WVBA also sent four teams in 2007.

WVBA Mizuno 15 became the fourth Academy team to earn a bid to this year's national championship by finishing 2nd in the Prime Time tournament on April 6th. The Puget Sound Region received a reallocation bid from USAV volleyball in the Club American Division.

WVBA Mizuno 15 will join Mizuno 18, Mizuno 17, and Mizuno 14 who have already qualified.

WVBA Mizuno 18-Red will end their season at the Emerald City Classic over Memorial Day Weekend at the University of Washington

WVBA Mizuno 16 and Mizuno 14-Red will travel to Louisville, KY to compete in the Junior Volleyball Director's Association (JVDA) championship.

This 4-day tournament will be held June 27-30 at the Kentucky Exposition Center. Some of the strongest teams in the country will be in attendance. In addition to the domestic teams there are likely to be teams from China, Japan and Puerto Rico.

Puget Sound Regionals
WVBA Mizuno 18 and Mizuno 18-Red are competing in the U18 Puget Sound Regional Championship tournament this weekend at Seattle University and Seattle Pacific University.

WVBA Mizuno 16 and Mizuno 15-Red are competing in the U16 Division 1 Regional Championship tournament at Juanita High School.

WVBA Mizuno 14 won the Puget Sound Regional Championship last weekend. WVBA Mizuno 14-Red took the weekend off and will return to action on May 17th on the Kitsap Peninsula when they compete in the Olympic Premier tournament at Kitsap Pavilion.

WVBA Mizuno 17 also took the Regionals weekend off and will return to action at the Emerald City Classic Invitational on May 24th at the University of Washington.
