WVBA 2008 Season Tryouts Complete

2007 U15/U16 tryout scrimmages underway in Bothell

SEATTLE, WA - Nov 19, 2007
WVBA held their final tryout sessions over a long Saturday in Bothell.

We had an amazing turn out this year and the team selections were extremely difficult.

We wanted to thank all the players and their families for coming to our tryouts. We remain very flattered with the amount of interest we had in our teams this year.

If you attended tryouts and were not selected for a team on Saturday, please be sure to get onto another team and play this club season. Playing club volleyball is the very best thing you can do to develop your volleyball skills.

We look forward to seeing everyone at tournaments this season. If you cannot find a team to play on, contact us and we will try to help you find a team to play on at another club.

If you were selected for one of the Academy's seven teams this year, welcome into the WVBA family.

WVBA Club Events Scheduled
We have two scheduled all-club events for November. On Friday night Nov. 23rd, the club will be in attendance for the UW-Oregon volleyball match. Each team will make arrangements with their players to meet somewhere before the game. The coaches will have the tickets to this match for all of the players.

The mandatory all-club preseason meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 26th from 5:45-8:30pm at the 'new' Edmonds-Woodway High School.

This meeting is mandatory for all members and at least one parent.

We will go through all club rules and policies, sign USAV and WVBA membership agreements, go through final tournament and practice scheudules, collect the first month dues, and conduct the first full meetings for each team.

2008 WVBA Coaching Line-up
We are very excited to finalize the coaching staff assignments for the upcoming 2008 season.
