Welcome to the 2007 WVBA International Team Page

Here we will be documenting our 2nd team trip to Brazil and the Minas Tênis Clube. We depart on the morning of July 18th and will make a stop in Rio de Janeiro (by way of Los Angeles - Lima, Peru - Sao Paulo, Brazil). Once we arrive in Rio, we will tour the

Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer) statue that stands over Rio with arms outstretched. Following our tour of Corcovado we may take in an international volleyball match as part of the Pan American Games taking place in Rio while we are passing through.

When we are finished in Rio we will head by bus to the beautiful city of Buzios, said to be the St. Tropez of South America.

In Buzios we will stay for two nights and relax by the pool or on the beach and stroll through the village center and shop. From Buzios we will head back to the airport and fly to our ultimate destination of the Minas Tênis Clube in Belo Horizonte.

Once there we will meet our host families where the players will begin their most cherished part of our trip, the home stay with the Brazilian players' families.

We will begin to post photos from our trip at every chance to give everyone back home a feel for the experience we are having down in Brazil. These are almost exclusively pics from Dave Weitl's camera, so there will be a lot more images from others when we get back home.
