Upcoming Tournaments

SEATTLE, WA--May 1, 2012
There are less than four weeks before this year's Emerald City Classic. We will be seeding the field of teams and announcing those seeds sometime next week.

If you find your team is placed into the Open Division and would prefer to play in the Club Division, please contact us and we will try to match your request with another team looking to move from Club to Open. We are usually able to accommodate most requests.

We always receive notice of teams needing to drop, even this close to the event. If your team is on the waitlist and is no longer interested in playing, please notify us right away. We look forward to seeing you all in Seattle at the end of the month.

Team Check-in
We will have no coaches' meeting. We will have a coaches' reception with some refreshments on Friday night. Please come join us for our reception and enjoy the company of the other coaches in attendance.

Teams can check in anytime between 6:30-8:30pm on Friday, May 25th. Check-in will be in the Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion at the University of Washington.

We will have an official roster for you to review and sign at team check in. All players must be listed on the official tournament roster in order to play. Please ensure your tournament roster is accurate through the SignUpToPlay.com.

If you cannot make it to the team check in Friday night, you can check your team in at the tournament desk, IF YOU MAKE PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS FOR A LATE CHECK IN. Please notify us if you wish to arrange for a late check-in.

Hotel Services
We hope that all of the teams traveling from out of town will utilize our hotel sponsors. Please visit our hotel page to view the properties that are supporting this year's tournament.

If you have booked your teams into rooms outsideo out hotel block, please let us know where you found preferable housing so we can improve our choices.

If you need assistance with your hotel booking, please contact our hotel service, Victor Dinh of Conference Direct.

Parking at UW
Due to the construction of the new Husky football stadium and the sound transit subway station, all parking will be in the E1 lots north of the athletic facilities. Please allow sufficient time to walk in from the north lots. You can drop the players off in front of the Graves Annex, just north of the pedestrian bridge over Montlake Blvd. NE. We will have a new map posted shortly with all parking locations clearly marked. There will be lots of signs directing traffic to the correct parking lots. There will be a charge of $7.00 to park on Saturday morning and there will be attendants able to make change. We should free parking after noon on Saturday for the remainder of the weekend. RVs csn park during the tournament hours only, no overnight parking.

Food Tables/Chairs
There will be taped areas around the concourse level of Alaska Airlines Arena as well as space outside of the IMA for teams to set up food tables. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO COOKING OF ANY KIND ALLOWED ON THE UW CAMPUS. THIS INCLUDES BARBECUES, CROCK POTS, ETC. We will have Doug's Rockin' Barbecue in full swing offering reasonably-priced food for lunch and dinner. This barbecue is run by WVBA parent volunteers.

We will have over 2,000 chairs available for spectators in all facilities plus 5,000 or so seats inside the main Alaska Airlines Arena. So, you can leave your chairs at home.
