I began playing volleyball in 6th grade and have been hooked ever since. I grew up in Fresno, California playing volleyball for Bullard High School and Fresno Volleyball Club. After graduation from high school I moved on to Santa Clara University where I played two seasons with the men's club team. In the off-season, I had the opportunity to train with the SCU women's volleyball team and work as a coach during their summer camps. After several years working and living in San Francisco, my wife and I moved to Seattle in 2007 and I began work in public relations for RealNetworks and Rhapsody America. That same year I began coaching with Washington Volleyball Academy. This will be my third season with WVBA as an assistant coach. In 2008, I assisted the WVBA 16s win the regional championships and go on to participate at the JVA National Championships in Louisville, KY. In 2009, I assisted the WVBA 17s secure the second Open bid in club history, going on to compete in Miami at the Junior Olympics. I can't wait to get back in the gym and help another group of talented players learn to compete at the highest levels and reach their goals.

"I believe that every time a player steps on the floor, he or she is being presented with an opportunity to improve. The more opportunities I can provide, the more touches a player gets or plays they are involved in, the quicker a new skill can be learned and perfected. To facilitate this style of development, I create high-paced, competitive environments where players continually challenge themselves and one another. My beliefs and coaching style support my overarching goal to allow the player, and ultimately the team they are part of, to compete at the highest level possible."
