Took a road trip last month, we primarily worked the Methow River, found what is likely
the best trout fishing in the state. We worked small black spinners through the shallows
(remember to use single barbless hooks-special reg's). Many of the fish were over 18
inches. I hooked a few that easily broke 4# line. If you go focus on the
upper parts of the river and watch out for rattlesnakes, I stumbled upon 2 of them.
