	This river west of Cathlamet has good summer steelhead fishing from June through November as well as winter-runs in December, January and February. Coho and fall chinook salmon are taken, but poor coho and chinook returns are expected this year. Sea-run cutthroat can be good during fall and early winter. Wild steelhead and cutthroat must be released. Salmon angling areas are restricted; check the regulations pamphlet.

	Aug. 13, 2000 Thanks to: = Teeter/Patching report = Went fishing for steelhead and salmon. Didn't catch either. However, myself and brother in law did catch several rainbow in the 14 inch range. Several friends have been catching both steelhead and salmon in the past week. Salmon should be in heavy within the next week or two. December 20, 1997 Thanks to Steve D for the following report: I just returned home from yet another fishless trip to the Elochoman River. This makes my sixth visit there since mid-November. I have only seen 1 winter run steelhead landed there, last week the water was very low, this week it looks perfect, except, no fish. Do you have any info on this river or any surrounding locations? I'm very confused as to why it's so slow. Any info or reports would be very much appreciated.
